This is the number #1 complaint from site owner when asked why they are not posting on their blog. When a clients want a blog incorporated onto their website, we always ask then these questions:

  1. Who will be posting on the blog?
  2. Who will monitor comments?
  3. What will you be blogging about?
  4. What is the purpose of having the blog?

In truth, blogging is not needed for all businesses or industry types. Before you spent money, time, and energy in a blog, make sure this is the right marketing tool to focus on.

If it is, you can find the time to blog by following these easy instructions:

  1. Do short blogs. 2 to 3 paragraphs. Get right to the point.
  2. Post once a month, more if you can. Consistency is key.
  3. Prepare all of the posts ahead of time. Schedule yourself 2 hours every 6 months for this task. Calendar the preparation time in and then forget about it.
  4. Scheduled the posts for release at specific dates.
